Irish Embassy officials arrive in Kusadasi
The Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern said today that Irish Embassy officials have arrived in Kusadasi in Turkey to provide assistance to the Whelan family.
Mr Ahern announced that it is now almost certain that no other Irish person was on the bus at the time of the bomb attack.
He said he will be raising concerns about the continued security of Irish people travelling to Turkey when he meets his counterpart in Ankara next week.
Mr Ahern also praised the support received from the Turkish authorities, and said he hopes Tara's body will be brought home as soon as possible.
