Bingo women's bus attacked
A group of elderly women on their way home from a night’s bingo were terrified when their bus was stoned and paint-bombed.
The 14 pensioners were on a bus travelling home to Limavady from Derry last night when they were attacked, police said today.
Windows were shattered and the women showered with glass and paint when youths attacked them as they were driven down the Clooney Road in the village of Greysteel.
The women were badly shocked but none suffered serious injuries, said a police spokesman.
Earlier, another bus was stoned in the same area. A window was shattered and one person injured.
