The Department of Foreign Affairs has established special phone-lines for Irish people worried about friends and relatives caught up in this morning's explosions in London.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has established special phone-lines for Irish people worried about friends and relatives caught up in this morning's explosions in London.

Anyone seeking information from Ireland can ring 1800 242 548, while people living in the UK can ring 0207 201 2501.

An emergency centre has also been established at the Irish Embassy in London to help Irish people affected by the explosions.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said it was in constant contact with the London Embassy, but had no information on whether there were any Irish casualties.
