Tánaiste welcomes provision of extra hospital beds

The Minister for Health Mary Harney today welcomed the provision of extra beds at a Dublin hospital which will help ease pressure on nearby Accident and Emergency wards.

Fifty beds will be provided by Peamount hospital, 25 for respiratory rehabilitation and 25 for elderly care.

The hospitial plans to have the additional beds available this autumn.
