Man in hospital after hit-and-run

A man in his late 20s is fighting for his life this morning following a suspected hit-and-run in Co Cavan overnight.

The man was found with serious injuries on a roadside in Kingscourt at around 3.30am and was taken to hospital in Navan before being transferred to Drogheda.
