Eight still held in connection with Sligo murder

Eight people are still being questioned by gardaí in Sligo in relation to a murder in the town.

Twenty-six-year-old Hughie McGinley was shot in the head by a motorbike pillion passenger on April 28.

The eight were arrested on Wednesday, and gardaí have since recovered cannabis resin with an estimated street value of €40,000 in follow-up searches in Sligo.
