The former Archbishop of South Africa, Desmond Tutu, has called on leaders of the G8 nations to cancel the debt of poorer nations when they meet for a summit in Scotland next month.

Speaking at a Mass for the immigrant community in Dublin, he said cancelling debt is in the interest of the whole world.
