The Revenue Commissioners have reportedly mounted an investigation into more than 1,000 businesses as part of a crackdown on tax evasion in the motor trade.

The Revenue Commissioners have reportedly mounted an investigation into more than 1,000 businesses as part of a crackdown on tax evasion in the motor trade.

Reports this morning said the investigation was currently focusing on the south-west of the country, but could expanded if widespread tax evasion is uncovered.
