Sinn Féin places bugging device on sale

A bugging device discovered at Sinn Féin's Belfast headquarters has turned up for sale on the internet.

So far the apparatus, which is available on auction site e-Bay accompanied by an authenticating letter from Gerry Adams, has attracted bids of nearly a $1,000.

The device was found just prior to top level talks in England last year and put on display by the Republican delegation.

Party chairman Mitchel McLaughlin has said they hope to raise awareness about British secret agents as well as finance from the sale.
