Harney urged to increase funding for rape crisis services

The Rape Crisis Network of Ireland has called on the Tánaiste and Health Minister Mary Harney to increase funding for the sector as a matter of priority.

The network said today that under-funding for rape crisis services was creating a "false economy" and was actually costing the State dearly.
