A man arrested in connection with the murder of teenager Mary-Ann Leneghan, whose family is from Co Mayo, remains in custody tonight after a British magistrate granted detectives an extra day to quiz him, police said.

Three other men have been charged with 16-year-old Mary-Ann’s murder and the attempted murder of her 18-year-old friend in Reading, last weekend.
