Durkan plays down speculation of SDLP-FF merger

SDLP leader Mark Durkan has played down speculation that his party is seriously considering a merger with Fianna Fáil.

Some within the SDLP believe such a move is the only way to prevent the party from being effectively annihilated by Sinn Féin.
