Ahern joins world leaders at VE commemorations

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, is among more than 50 world leaders gathering in Russia today for a ceremony commemorating VE Day.

US President George Bush has also travelled to Moscow to mark the 60th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazis in May 1945.

A huge military parade is being held in Red Square to pay tribute to the Russina role in in the Allied victory.
