Waterford Crystal factory to close

Waterford Crystal’s flagship factory in Dungarvan is to close with the loss of almost 500 jobs, it was confirmed today.

The company revealed 485 workers faced redundancy at the world-renowned glass-making plant under a radical restructuring scheme.
