Workers at Donegal Gaeltacht made redundant
An electronics manufacturer in the west Donegal Gaeltacht today announced that all of its 30 production workers are being made permanently redundant.
Nuvotem Talema, which manufactures and designs transformers, had laid off the workers in September when it indicated it hoped to resume production in Donegal at a later date.
However today it been announced only 11 sales and administrative staff will remain in employment.
The electronics manufacturer was the main employer in the village of Crolly.
