Rape Crisis Centre swamped by callers after TV show

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre says it was inundated with calls to its 24-hour helpline after Friday's Late, Late Show, which featured a young woman who discussed her experience of childhood sexual abuse.

The centre has saluted the courage of the young woman and says many people who rang the helpline had similar experiences and needed a safe space to talk, some of them for the first time.
