Minister Ahern appointed special envoy to UN

The Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern has been appointed as a special envoy to the United Nations.

Mr Ahern and three other appointees will prepare reports for a Special UN Summit on Global development which takes place in New York next September.
