Man dies after Cork house fire

A man is his 40s died after a fire at his house in the Ballycoreen area of Cork city last night.

The man is believed to have died in hospital a number of hours after he suffered serious burns in the fire, which broke out on Airport Road at around 10pm.

The scene has been sealed off pending technical examination to determine the cause of the blaze.
