Man charged with Irvine murder
A man was tonight charged with the murder of 22-year-old Ciaran Irvine on the outskirts of Belfast.
Mr Irvine, who was single and a plasterer by trade, was stabbed after attending a party on Easter Sunday in the Twinbrook area on the edge of west Belfast.
His body was discovered in Juniper Row early yesterday.
The man charged with his murder is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Another man and a woman questioned today about the killing were released pending reports.
Mr Irvine’s murder has shocked residents of the Twinbrook estate.
His family criticising the use of knives in street violence.
In a statement they said: “Ciaran was a vibrant 22 year old with a long term girlfriend, Seanna, and the couple had everything to live for.”
