Man in court in connection with stolen car rampage

A man has appeared at Dublin district court this evening in connection with an incident involving a stolen car in which a number of people, including an off duty garda, were injured in Dublin city centre last night.

The BMW car was taken from its owner at knifepoint by two men in Leopardstown and driven to the city centre where it crashed into a number of cars, injuring at least five people, before the occupants abandoned it and fled on foot.
