ESB shops may be takeover target for British retail group

The ESB’s chain of 54 shops is reportedly the subject of a significant takeover offer from a British retail group.

Reports this morning said sources had indicated that the offer might be discussed at a hastily-arranged meeting of the ESB’s board of directors today.
