Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the murder of Rachel O'Reilly last October.

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the murder of Rachel O'Reilly last October.

The man was detained in the Crumlin area shortly before 7am and taken to Balbriggan for questioning.

Mrs O'Reilly, 30, was beaten to death at her home near the village of Naul on October 4 last.

A number of arrests have been made by gardaí investigating the killing, but nobody has been charged with any offence.

Today's arrest follows the exhumation of Mrs O'Reilly's body at a Dublin cemetery last week.
