Man arrested after shooting in Limerick

Gardaí in Limerick have arrested a man in his 20s following a shooting in the south of the city at lunchtime.

A man in his 20s was shot in the hand in O'Malley Park and is currently being treated at the Regional Hospital in Dooradoyle.

Gardaí have said the incident is linked to ongoing disturbances in the area and their investigations are ongoing.
