RTÉ may be forced to show how it spends licence fee

The European Commission has reportedly recommended that RTÉ provide details of how it spends the €70m it receives annually in licence fees.

Reports this morning said the recommendation followed the first phase of an EC study into public service broadcasting across the European Union.
