Polish man in critical condition after Cork assault

A 20-year-old Polish man is in a critical condition in hospital today after he was assaulted at his home in Co Cork yesterday evening.

The victim was attacked by a number of people at a house in the Belfry area of Mallow at around 5pm and was taken to hospital in Cork, where his condition is described as critical.
