Irish Red Cross raises €22m for Tsunami appeal

The Irish Red Cross has said it has raised €22 million from its Asia Tsunami Appeal - the biggest sum of money ever raised by the organisation.

The charity is now focusing its aid effort on long term development in the devastated communities, including the provision of clinics, schools and infrastructure.
