Harney: 'A&E reforms crucial to improving health service'

Health Minister Mary Harney has told the Oireachtas health committee that efforts to alleviate overcrowding in accident and emergency units are crucial to improving the overall health service.

Ms Harney was called before the committee today to answer questions about her 10-point plan to alleviate the long-running problem of overcrowding.
