Many Irish consumers are cutting back on spending due to the increasing cost of living, according to a study carried out by the market research firm Mintel.

Many Irish consumers are cutting back on spending due to the increasing cost of living, according to a study carried out by the market research firm Mintel.

The company said its study had found that people living in Dublin were feeling the effects of the rising cost of living more than people in other parts of the country.

It also found that women were more aware of rising prices, partly because they were still more involved than men in looking after household budgets.
