15 motorists banned under penalty points scheme

A total of 15 motorists have reportedly been banned from driving for racking up the maximum 12 penalty points since the scheme was introduced more than two years ago.

Reports this morning said five of the motorists were from the Cork area, two were from Dublin, two were from Kerry and the remainder were from counties Carlow, Clare, Donegal, Laois, Tipperary and Westmeath.
