Harney welcomes drop in Gerry Adams’ popularity rating

The Tánaiste Mary Harney has welcomed the drop in the popularity of Sinn Féin president Gerry Adams uncovered in an Irish Times opinion poll published this morning.

The poll put Mr Adams' popularity rating at 42%, down nine points since the last survey was conducted for the newspaper in October.
