The Junior Minister with responsibility for children has said he is prepared to take on the drinks industry in the fight to curb underage drinking.

Brian Lenihan was responding to criticism from the children's charity Barnardos, which said many of the recommendations of a strategic task force on alcohol had yet to be implemented.
