Minister for Education Mary Hanafin has signed a bilateral agreement with her Chinese counterpart that will see Irish third-level qualifications being recognised in the communist country and Chinese qualifications recognised here.

Minister for Education Mary Hanafin has signed a bilateral agreement with her Chinese counterpart that will see Irish third-level qualifications being recognised in the communist country and Chinese qualifications recognised here.

Under the deal, both countries have agreed to recognise third-level qualifications from certificate to doctorate level awarded in the other's jurisdiction.
