The number of people on the Live Register in Ireland fell by 11,700 in the year to December 2004, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.

The number of people on the Live Register in Ireland fell by 11,700 in the year to December 2004, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO said that, when seasonal factors were taken into account, the number of people signing on in December increased by 500 to 159,100.
