An elderly woman has died in a fire at a house in Buttevant, Co Cork, this morning.

A woman in her 80’s was killed today after a fire broke out at her home in Co Cork.

Units of the local fire brigade and gardaí were called to the house on Buttevant's Main Street at around 6.45am.
