Two men were arrested when shopkeepers became suspicious that the gang behind the £26.5m (€37.9m) Northern Bank robbery in Belfast had gone on a spending spree, it was revealed today.

Two men were arrested when shopkeepers became suspicious that the gang behind the £26.5m (€37.9m) Northern Bank robbery in Belfast had gone on a spending spree, it was revealed today.

The men were released on police bail early today following a police operation which resulted in £42,000 (€60,000) being recovered.
