The Labour Party has criticised newly announced government initiatives on tackling cocaine use in Ireland, describing them as "too little, too late".

Labour spokesman Joe Costello said the pilot initiatives announced by Junior Minister Noel Ahern this morning were "a very limited approach to what is becoming a massive problem".
