Govt approves council plans on social/affordable housing

The Department of the Environment has approved five-year action plans on social and affordable housing submitted by 17 of Ireland's local authorities.

Officials in all of Ireland's local councils have been asked to draw up such plans as part of efforts to boost the supply of social and affordable housing over the coming years.
