Gardaí appeal for information on hillwalker sighting on Wednesday

Gardaí involved in the search for a climber missing in Kerry have asked a man seen walking in the Gap of Dungloe to contact them.

Search and rescue teams are continuing to comb the McGillicuddy Reeks for 22-year-old Olas Jansenn who has been missing since Tuesday.

Gardaí in Killarney want to speak to a hillwalker seen in the area on Wednesday afternoon, wearing a navy jacket and carrying a green ‘army-type’ rucksack.

Tim Murphy of Kerry Mountain Rescue vowed that the search effort will continue for as long as necessary.
