Clear skies expected for Newgrange solstice illumination

Clear skies have been forecast for the annual illumination of the Newgrange burial chamber on the shortest day of the year - today.

Sunlight is expected to pour into the stone-age structure at around 9am. The illumination will also take place over the next few days.
