Hiring of PR executive must be investigated - Ahern

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern admitted today that the circumstances surrounding the controversial employment of a PR executive to the Department of the Environment must be thoroughly investigated.

Monica Leech was hired by Minister Martin Cullen to act as a communications consultant in 2002 even though Drury Communications was already acting for the Department.
