Escaped prisoner still at large

A prisoner whom Gardaí say could be dangerous is still at large this morning after escaping from custody yesterday afternoon.

Ian Stewart, 27, was visiting his sick mother at a hospice in the Harolds Cross area of Dublin when he managed to escape from the three prison officers who were accompanying him.

Mr Stewart, who is from the Tallaght area, was serving a 10-year sentence at Mountjoy Prison for assault and robbery.
