A Kerry hospital apologised tonight to seven women whose miscarried foetuses were retained for up to four years without their knowledge.

A Kerry hospital apologised tonight to seven women whose miscarried foetuses were retained for up to four years without their knowledge.

The foetuses were among samples of tissue taken from 20 women who had miscarried which were stored in a laboratory due to a breakdown in procedures between departments at Kerry General Hospital.
