Child access for fathers highlighted at conference
The plight of Irish fathers who are denied access to their children is due to be highlighted at a conference in Dublin later this week.
The "Being a Father at Christmas" event, which takes place on Thursday, was organised by Amen, a support group for male victims of domestic violence and strife.
Fathers experiencing difficulty getting access to their children have been invited to attend.
Speaking ahead of the conference, Mary Clear of Amen said many men felt they were the victims of bias at the hands of social workers and psychologists who make reports for family courts.
