Legal argument in Reclaim the Streets trial
The trial of two gardaí accused of beating a protester at the May Day 2002 Reclaim the Streets demonstration continued in legal argument in the absence of the jury for most of the day in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court,
Gardaí Paul Daly and Fergus Hogan, who are both attached to Pearse Street Garda Station, have pleaded not guilty to assault causing harm to Mr Emmet Bunting (aged 28) of Collins Avenue, Dublin, on May 6, 2002.
