National Romanian day commemorated

Dublin's Civic Offices will host a celebration this evening for the 23,000-strong Romanian community in Ireland.

The event was arranged to mark National Romanian Day.

One of its organisers, Ion Anghel, said: "This will be a valuable opportunity for our contribution to European culture to be promoted to the Irish public."
