Two seriously injured after M50 crash
Two people were seriously injured today after a multiple car pile-up on the M50 motorway outside Dublin.
The five car crash happened on the northbound carriageway between the Blanchardstown and Finglas exits at around 11.30am. It is believed one car overturned in the smash.
A total of seven people required treatment following the accident. The injured were taken to a number of hospitals across the city.
Traffic was delayed on the route for most of the day and the northbound carriageway was closed to traffic.
Gardaà are investigating the cause of the crash and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
