Man shot dead in west Dublin

A man in his twenties has been shot dead in his home in west Dublin.

The 24-year-old was attacked by two gunmen in the Drumheath area of Mulhuddart at 3am this morning.

He was brought to James Connolly Memorial Hospital but died a short time later.

It is understood the victim was known to gardaí who have appealed for information about the attack.
