Search resumes for missing fishermen off Down coast

A search for a fishing vessel missing off the Co Down coast with two men on board resumed this morning at first light.

The boat 'Emerald Dawn' failed to return to Kilkeel by lunchtime yesterday as expected.

The men had been crab-fishing about five miles off the coast.

The Kilkeel and Clogher Head lifeboats, local fishermen and other vessels are involved in the search operation.
