Cork 2005 gets extra €1.5m funding

Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism John O'Donoghue today announced a further €1.5m in funding for plans for the Cork 2005 European Capital of Culture.

This additional funding will be directed exclusively towards additional new commissions to be included in the programme and towards a number of special big events with mass audience appeal that will mark significant moments during the year's activities.
