Several members of a youth club were assaulted in east Belfast last night by youths who mistook them for Catholics.

Ten youths in their early teens from a Protestant church group were sitting in a bus outside the Dundonald Ice Bowl when a youth approached and asked where they were from.

When told they were from Armagh, he fired a stone through the bus window hitting a young man on the head.

When members of the youth group got off the bus, three boys and a girl were assaulted by youths who had been standing nearby.

The victims were not seriously injured but were badly shaken.
